Chairman's Statement
In 2006, UZINEXPORT celebrated 40 years of continuous activity and more than 10 years being fully private company.
During its over 40 years history, UZINEXPORT has gathered an impressive number of references as main EPC or turn-key contractor for industrial projects belonging to cement and metallurgical plants, in other words catering the need of two essential goods for a building, a sound industrial infrastructure, like cement and steel.
The overall turnover for this period reaches more than 5 billion US Dollars got for export of design engineering know how services, equipment and spares supplies and related supervisory services.
UZINEXPORT tried to keep the pace with the world market exigencies, and so, it was based to develop the design & engineering sector, along with heavy investments in the manufacturing field for the above mentioned industries.
By doing this, the company has become able to manufacture sophisticated process equipment which are the leading technological facilities for the cement and steel plants.
Further, it is here to state also that we are embarked on a way towards increase of efficiency, in spite of all the hurdles imposed by the on going conversion process in Romania from a fully centralized system to an operational market economy.
This has induced during the last 15 years , and particularly the last 3-4 years a close follow up of the international market level for the basic raw materials, utilities and of the labor as well and thus, removing the formerly presumed advantages of a heavy state subsidy for certain industrial sectors or products. Under these circumstances, the challenges have become higher and higher but, UZINEXPORT has proven being able to reach the efficiency level required, as the basis for further successful involvement in the process equipment specialized market.
Last but not least, I have to point out the contribution and dedication our staff has showed during all this period along with company's policy to find out proper associates, this ensuring the role of some activities and services for a stronger presence, in the international market.
Finally, I wish to assure you of our determination for doing "our best" in order to cope with our clients’ requirements at our best ability as far as the efficiency and low costs are concerned.
