We are proud to say that our company, UZINEXPORT SA, celebrated in 2013, 50 years of uninterrupted activity in the international market of industrial projects and 15 years of becoming a fully private company.
Now, that we have reached the mature status, we can say that this period has been a fruitful one for us, as long as we have been able to secure some important contracts all over the World acting either as “turn-key” or “EPC” contractor and leaving strong “land-marks” everywhere.
In this period we have kept our core sectors as Cement Plants and Steel & Power Plants, dealing mainly with design & engineering, manufacture and supply of equipment and spares and related supervisory services for erection, testing, trial-runs and commissioning of the plants and equipment supplied.
The hard work and dedication to the industrial sectors have brought us orders of more than 1.5 billion USD out of which more than 95% have been meant for export oriented projects.
During the difficult stages of transition in the Romanian economy from a fully centralized state-owned one to a free market one and adding the exigencies of the international crisis, we have tried to cope with all arisen problems and remain attached to our field of activity.
Moreover, we are bound to develop our products and improve our presence in the international market, and the latest contracts bagged in the Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded(LSAW) Pipes, are one more proof that almost 100% Romanian designed and executed products can compete successfully in the market with the most reputed engineering companies in the World.
We are also open, as proved repeatedly during these years, to close cooperation with Western engineering companies for Third Market projects, either as their sub-suppliers or associates.
It is also true that, under the present very difficult circumstances of less financial support from the Government bodies, we have to stand on our own feet and find the proper way for financing the manufacturing of the contracted equipment. It is another area where the experience of the financial organizations is more than welcomed.
Nevertheless the above difficulties and a rather ageing staff, we are determined to remain in this field and to preserve the design competence and manufacture skills of the Romanian companies, as the best way for keeping the pace with the other countries in the European Union.
